Als der gebürtige Kalifornier Michael Parenti 2002 seine Heimat von Wien nach Istanbul verlegte, veränderte sich die lokale Clublandschaft bleibend und die Etablierung der VJ Kunst nahm ihren Anfang. Mit seinem Kollektiv artificialeyes.tv definiert er die Begriffe Spontanität, Unberechenbarkeit und Improvisation bei jedem Auftritt neu. Vorbereitung gibt’s nicht und darauf ist man stolz. Man merkt sofort: Das ist kein Programm, das ist Live! Echtzeit! Ihr Motto bleibt: Anytime, Anywhere, Any Music.

Unter ihren Firmenkunden finden sich namhafte Konzerne wie Vodafone, Bentley, A1, Hutchinson 3, Sony Ericsson, Renault, Coca Cola, Emirates Airlines und Turk Telekom. Neben der Veranstaltung von VJ-Workshops und zahlreichen internationalen Festivalteilnahmen wie Resfest, LPM, Byte Me!, AFX, und Versh, betreiben die viel beschäftigten artificialeyes.tv einen Weblog über digitale Künste und beteiligen sich an anderen VJ-Gemeinden und blogs.

Mit ihrem selbst geschriebenen 3D-Programm „THRILL“ (www.thrill.artificialeyes.tv) gestalten sie multiple geometrische Formen. Die auf der DVD enthaltene Kollektion wurde exklusiv für das VideoMovingSystem produziert, um zusammen mit dem VideoMovingProjektor Räumlichkeiten in Bewegung und das Publikum in Verzückung zu versetzen.

When the native Californian Michael Parenti moved from Vienna to Istanbul in 2002, the local club-Scene changed and VJ art began to establish. With his collective artificialeyes.tv at every performance he newly defines the terms spontaneity, unpredictability and improvisation. There are no preparations and this is something to be proud of. With their self-written 3D-Programm „THRILL“(www.thrill.artificialeyes.tv) they create multiple geometrical shapes. The collection contained on the dvd was produced exclusively for the VideoMovingSystem in order to – together with the VideoMovingProjektor – make rooms move and amaze the audience.
